Parents of 2A,                Hello and a Happy New Year to all. Well, the first few months of school have flown and we are quickly approaching the end of the 2nd Quarter. However, if you think the first half of school was quick, wait until you see the second half! We have some very exciting times and events ahead. January finds us learning about Earth Science and rocks. We will even have our own geode to break into! Math and regrouping is fun and new, and our Expository non- fiction stories were informative and entertaining. Look for them in the hall outside our classroom during Catholic School's Week!  A really wonderful event is a planned Virtual Field Trip to the Bronx Zoo on Jan. 25th.   February is a month full of special times. We will be studying Presidents, Groundhogs, Famous Black Americans, and Valentine's Day.  We have to work really hard to fit it all in. On February 11th, we will all meet at church for our First Reconciliation. We are preparing for this sacrament in school and look forward to this wonderful day. I look forward to seeing you at some point during Catholic School's week.
