Cub Scout Pack 55

Cub Scouts was launched by the Boy Scouts of America in 1930 as an organization for boys in First through Fifth Grades (ages 7 to 10) . Cub Scouting has nine purposes:
- Positively influence character development and encourage spiritual growth
- Help boys develop habits and attitudes of good citizenship
- Encourage good sportsmanship and pride in growing strong in mind and body
- Improve understanding within the family
- Strengthen boys' ability to get along with other boys and respect other people
- Foster a sense of personal achievement by helping boys develop new interests and skills
- Show how to be helpful and do one's best
- Provide fun and exciting new things to do
- Prepare boys to become Boy Scouts
Cub Pack 55, sponsored by St. James in Basking Ridge, NJ, is dedicated to delivering a quality Cub Scout program and serving the St. James and Basking Ridge community. In addition to fun and learning activities the Pack participates in service activities for St. James and the surrounding community.
