Summer Reading Grades 5th - 8th
LANGUAGE ARTS SUMMER READING
Summer is a great time for children to enjoy reading and continue to practice skills learned in the classroom. It also presents an opportunity to lay the foundation for a lifelong love of reading.
Reading is like any other skill-it improves with practice. We want to encourage reading so it is very important that summer reading be self-selected by the student. Children should be allowed to choose books they find appealing. Stop by a bookstore or visit a library with your child. Encourage your child to bring books along when they travel this summer, or, just relax and enjoy a good book at home.
OUR GOAL IS TO HAVE EVERY MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT READING THIS SUMMER!
