Saint James School Summer Reading 2008
Here are our summer suggestions to entice, inspire, excite and motivate your children. Reading at least 5 books during the summer can avoid reading achievement losses. Investigate with your child; remember each student’s ability and interest is unique. Start with the reading list for the grade they are moving to next year and keep them engaged. Keep in mind the 5 finger rule.
The Accelerated Reader Quiz binder categorized by title, author, and reading level will be available at the following libraries, Basking Ridge, Warren and Bernardsville townships with the children’s librarian. If your children read AR titles they can take quizzes in their first days back to school in September. Keeping a record of the books they read will help them to remember the facts of each.
