SJS Service Project Benefits the Center For Great Expectations

On Tuesday, May 9th, Saint James School held its annual May Crowning and concluded its baby-supply collection for the Center for Great Expectations in Somerset. Two carloads including baby lotion, baby books, toys, pacifiers, baby shampoo, and over 2000 diapers were delivered to the Center! Our students also sent along handmade well-wishes for the resident mothers and mothers-to-be.

Additionally, since we learned that the Center now receives a grant for the purchase of baby car seats, our collection jar money (originally earmarked for a car seat) was used to purchase a much-needed bassinet for one of the Center's expectant mothers.

Thank you to each and every family who was able to contribute to this drive. What a beautiful way to honor Mary, our Blessed Mother, by helping mothers in need.
