We were extremely proud to celebrate our 50th Anniversary in 2015, yet we're even more proud of each and every one of our graduating classes. Our goal is to lay the groundwork for success in all of our students, and we're humbled to see so many of our alumni achieve just that. Many of these alumni credit their experience at Saint James School for instilling the pillars of religion, work ethic, friendship, and morals in whatever and wherever life has taken them.
Preparation leads to success, and our curriculum properly equips our students for the workload and transition into prestigious high schools and colleges. From year to year, our SJS graduates get accepted into a wide array of competitive private high schools, or have attended one of the highly-ranked public high schools in their resident district.
We hope to continue building an alumni network that gets stronger and stronger with each successful graduating class. Through mentoring programs, networking events, and social gatherings, we intend to create an alumni program that further assists the development of our students and alumni alike.
For example, we hosted our First Annual Alumni Basketball Game (parents and children) at the start of Catholic Schools Week in February 2016. The game was a tremendous success, with both students and alumni playing and competing together. We were also honored to host Bernards Township Mayor Carol Bianchi at the event and appreciated her starting the game by throwing the tip-off!
Our alumni continue to reach new heights and make our school proud - and we'd love to stay in touch! We're currently in the process of creating a system to more closely monitor progress and feedback on the Saint James School experience. We want to know how Saint James prepared our alumni for high school, college, and their careers.
We aim to provide a platform to help connect our students and families - both past and present. Stay tuned here for updates on additional efforts to connect with SJS alumni throughout the year!
