This is my 3rd year teaching French at St James and I love it!
More than 20 years ago, my husband and I moved from Belgium to NJ. Our five children were born here, the youngest being an 8th grader. I volunteer at our parish, I run, read and knit.
Knowing several languages has always been important to me. It not only opens your mind and heart to other cultures but it helps you to appreciate your own language even more. While teaching the St James students French, I always emphasize the similarities or differences with the English language, or with the American culture. The students have also been excited to exchange letters with school children in Belgium.
