Mrs. Suzanne Florendo

Mrs. Florendo is a proud principal!  She came to Saint James School in July 2017 from St. Bartholomew Academy in Scotch Plains where she taught PreKindergarten, Kindergarten, middle school math, technology, and was the Assistant Principal for 9 years.  She was also the marketing/advancement/development director for 10 years.

Mrs. Florendo grew up in northern New York, graduated from Binghamton University and worked for ten years in corporate America in accounting and finance.  She has her MBA and Masters in Education from Seton Hall University and returned to Seton Hall to earn her Ed.S. (education specialist) degree in the summer of 2020.  Mrs. Florendo is certified to teach K-5.

She is the proud mom of two human children, Daniel (DJ) and Jessica (Jessi) and is mourning her fuzzy child, Flynty the schnoodle, who passed in early September 2020.  Mrs. Florendo is married for almost 29 years to Joe, whom she has known since her junior year in college.
